I Think They’ve Made A Miz-Take?

Hey ya’ll. So a shocking Night Of Champions left a lot of questions unanswered on RAW. Like, what is John Laurinaitis’ job title again? He never seems to mention. Anyhoo, on with the show.

We began the show with CM Punk
Whose face was sad, he was in a real funk
He said he was hurting and that was hard to hide
But what really hurt was his pride
He went on to say that he was wrong
But before he went further on came HHH’s song
The COO made his way to the ring
And CM Punk was happy with the news he decided to bring
HHH said he was hurting as well
And that Punk deserved a match at Hell In A Cell
So the match was made and you should make your bet
On who will win the first Hell In A Cell Triple Threat
The WWE Title on the line but what we don’t know
Is if it’ll stay with Cena or go to Punk or Del Rio
Hell In A Cell aside it was time to get personal
And Triple H had a lot of anger in his arsenal
He said that Punk needed to realise
That there was no conspiracy and that it was lies
CM Punk said that he knew that already
But the conspiracy existed and boy was it heavy
CM Punk went on to make his guess
But John Laurinaitis came out instead
Punk accused Laurinaitis of being the conspirator chief
But Laurinaitis said that was not his belief
He said he believed that it was all down to Punk
And that Punk’s motives really stunk
He then went on to do one of his pleasures
And wished Punk well in his future endeavours
But Triple H stepped in and said nobody was fired
Not until the end of the night when he discovered the true pariahs.

I enjoyed the opening part but it did make me laugh when Laurinaitis got involved. He’s as good on the mic as Stephen Hawking is as good on his legs. Also, what’s with this M’Kay thing he does after each sentence? He sounds like Mr Mackey from South Park.

The first match of the night was an 8 Man Tag consisting of AirBoom, Sheamus and Justin Gabriel taking on New Nexus, Wade Barrett and Christian.  The match was so-so and really only existed in order to build up the new Sheamus/Christian rivalry. Christian ran away from the ring and left David Otunga to take the wrap and allowed for Sheamus to pick up the win.

Backstage, a referee spoke to Triple H saying that he was worried for his and other referee’s safety due to The Miz and R Truth. Triple H said it’d be fine and to tell the men to make their way to his office as soon as they arrive. Uh oh!

Then Alberto Del Rio came in moaning that his rematch in a Triple Threat was like, totally unfair and, like, why is HHH so MEAN to him. Like OMG WTF? Triple H basically shut him down and told him that he better start being more focussed.

Del Rio then had a match against John Morrison. Do I even need to tell you the result? Me thinks JoMo is about to get a huge push… out of the door.

Then it was time for the guest host segment. We’ve not had any of these in a while so I wasn’t overly apprehensive. Plus, it was Hugh Jackman who actually makes me go giddy inside. Hugh came out and did the usual movie promotion but was interrupted by Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie flirted with Hugh for a while before saying that Dolph should get more recognition. Dolph then started berating Hugh and mistook him for Christian Bale at one point (“I didn’t come to the set of Batman whilst you were berating a lighting guy”). Hugh then started discussing how Cleveland was the home of the underdog, he then linked it to his movie and basically agreed for Zack Ryder to face Dolph later on. It was a cute little bit enhanced by two very cute men and my favourite WWE woman after Stephanie McMahon.

Then it was time for Sin Cara v Cody Rhodes. This match, didn’t happen because another Sin Cara came out. I’m liking the whole “which one is the proper one”  but I’m totally team Slim Cara. The other one is taller and chubbier.

Miz and Truth then arrived and went straight to Triple H’s office. We were then subjected to the CUTEST scene ever. Miz’s “sorry” face is totally fuckable. There… I made something cute nasty. You don’t even want to see what I did to my Hello Kitty pillow. Either way, Triple H accepted their apology but fined them both $250,000. EACH! Mental. Although I’m sure R Truth could’ve sent some of his teeth to Cash4Gold and got his money. Triple H then told them they had a match against Cena and Punk. AWEEESSSOMMEEE.

Then we had the OMGZ MARK HENRY IS LIKE, WELL SCARY GUYZ segment. It started off with Teddy Long coming out to tell JR to announce that Randy Orton will face Mark Henry at Hell In A Cell because he’s “cashed in” his re-match clause. I think people are starting to confused Money In The Bank with a re-match clause. Dumb. JR then invited Henry to the ring where he did his “YOU DIN’ BELIEVE IN ME” thing. I love angry Mark Henry. He reminds me of the Mum from Precious. Henry then started to attack JR and got him in some vice-like grip. Jerry Lawler then ran into the ring to stop Henry but, obvs, it didn’t work. Henry then went to slam Lawler through a table. Rumour has it that the crew forgot to rig the announce table to make it collapse easier, so Lawler went through an actual table. Ouch.

Then it was Eve and Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Eve and Ksquared got the win again which is starting to piss me off. I guess that’s the point of the storyline and eventually Beth will go psycho. Question though, when did Kharma get up the duff? I can’t remember. Will she be back like, soon? Has she dropped the baby? Someone lemme know, I can’t be arsed googling.

Then Hugh Jackman was backstage with Zack Ryder and basically called him delusional which made him perfect. They made their way to the ring where Ryder and Dolph faced off. The match was actually pretty good and Vickie got herself banned from ringside which gave Hugh time to punch Dolph. A Rough Ryder later and Zack got a win on RAW. Yeyz.

We then went backstage to where Vickie was watching. Jack Swagger then asked her to sign him on a managerial contract and Vickie agreed. The Guerrero Era is dawning upon us, folks. And I love it.

Then we went back, backstage in some locker room where Cena basically told Punk he’d be his friend for their match but after that their totes mega enemies. Punk agreed.

Then it was the main event match. It was actually really good considering that all men must’ve been tired and Punk went through hell with his match but still managed to be awesome. Punk and Cena picked up the win and after the match HHH came out. He congratulated Punk on a good match and then fired Truth & Miz.

We then went backstage where the random jobbers were watching the action (for some reason) and basically showing the shocked faces they use in the mirror. Next thing, Truth and Miz attack Triple H and are ganged up on by the locker room. Team Jobbers then threw both men out of the arena. It was uh-may-zing. Then Triple H stormed off and gave Laurinaitis evils.

But why were they fired? What happens next?

I GUESS WE’LL FIND OUT ON RAW, EH?

CO-Oh No He Didn’t!

Hey everyone and welcome to this a recap of the Monday 5th September edition of RAW (the week before last). I had good reason for not posting this as I mentioned but then my move to University caught up to me. Anyway, here goes.

The show began with CM Punk
His legs were crossed and he was in a funk
See he doesn’t like having to face R Truth
When it’s Nash’s face he wants to abuse
He wants Nash face to face
And then it looked like he wouldn’t have to wait
Because out came Nash with his Just For Men dye
And the things he said brought on a laughter cry
Nash seems confused to the gimmick he’s got
And exclaimed he does what he likes as he’s making the WWE hot
Out came HHH to correct his friend
Nash said that this thing had to end
Nash was angry that Punk was still employed
But his push the previous week had HHH annoyed
HHH decided that one of the men had to leave
But when he chose Nash, Nash began to seethe
He pushed at Trips who with the greatest might
Punched Nash so hard he turned off a light
Then he said the words that got the crowd wired
He told his friend Nash that he was fired.

After Nash got fired, John Laurinaitis was backstage trying to stop Nash leaving. Nash refused to speak to John so John jumped into Nash’s car. I don’t want to speculate what Laurinaitis was proposing but I can imagine it’s icky and involves Laurinaitis getting his mouth covered in Just For Men: Pubic Edition.

Then we had our first match up which was AirBoom v Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali. I’m not a huge Jinder match so I pretty much spend that time having the wee I usually reserve for Divas Matches. I came back just in time to see Khali accidentally punch Mahal to allow AirBoom to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, backstage, Del Rio arrived and he looked like a man with a lot on his mind. Ooooooh.

The next match was a Diva’s Affair
To discover who might become the title’s new heir
It was Beth v Eve going head to head
Natalya and Kelly took to commentary instead
An article on WWE.com had caused a stir
And Kelly said that other Divas were hurt
The article said that the division needs saving
That Beth & Natalya were the ones laying the paving
A Twitter war ensued whilst Natalya explained
That she and Beth for fed up with everything being the same
The WWE Universe liked candy because that’s what they things best
But Natalya said they should be eating vegetables instead
It seemed that veggies would win as Beth won the bout
And Kelly & Eve ended up laid out.

We then headed back to the locker room where Del Rio was trying to egg on Christian to go after John Cena. Christian instantly foiled this plan but Del Rio explained that, if it wasn’t for Cena, Christian would probably be Champion.

The match that went next was the one I mentioned before
R Truth v CM Punk looked set to be war
Before the match started R Truth had some words
Then Miz soon followed to add some vocal hurt
The two men were furious that HHH had dropped the ball
They felt they hadn’t had much attention given to them at all
They then challenged AirBoom for their tag team Gold
Miz said this would be the first step in regaining his hold
The match began and it was actually real good
But The Miz got involved more than he should
The referee had enough and sent Miz backstage
Then Punk hit the GTS to win once again
After the win HHH made his way down
He said that at the PPV he wanted to go to town
The stipulation was changed to that of No DQ
So Punk said he wanted to make a stipulation too
He said that if the No DQ rule was to be so
If HHH lost, he’d have to quit as COO
Triple H agreed and the match was made
Night Of Champions has been bumped from B to a top mark A Grade.

Backstage, Del Rio tried to recruit Wade Barrett.

Our next match then was Jerry Lawler and partner against Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga. You see they weren’t happy with the way Lawler talked about them and basically took Lawler on. Lawler, however, needed a partner so he decided he wanted someone with great personality; Zack Ryder. We then got a Zack Ryder package and the match got underway. It was a so-so match with an obvious result: Ryder and Lawler won.

Again we went back to Del Rio recruiting a team against John Cena. This time it was Dolph Ziggler.

The next match I just ignored. Randy Orton v Heath Slater. I mean, really? REALLY?! REALLLLY?!

We then went to the arena back entrance (ooh, steady) and Cena arrived. An excited Zack Ryder ran up to John and tried to get him to wear his orange sunglasses to which Cena said only idiots wear sunglasses indoors (way to continue that Rock feud, WWE). Cena then made his way to the ring.

In the Ring Cena was angry that Del Rio was weak
He wanted more action, not just to speak
Out came Del Rio who said Cena would have to wait
That he wanted to make sure that their match would be great
Cena was livid but Del Rio just smiled
He had a group of men backstage that wanted to go wild
Then out came the men, all four went to town
But then some Cena Supports came out to knock those guys out
Then out came Teddy Long who made the main event match
It would be an 8 Man Tag but there’s a tiny little catch
The match was made an Elimination Tag
And it seemed like neither team really had it in the back
First out was JoMo who tapped to Jack Swagger
Then A-Ry followed and Sheamus got madder
Sheamus and Wade Barrett fought real hard
But Barrett was soon eliminated from the main event card
Christian then entered and Sheamus went crazy
But when Christian bailed things soon got hazy
The referee had counted over and over again
Then both men were eliminated thanks to the count out of 10
Swagger and Dolph Ziggler were the only bad guys left
With Cena on his own things seemed quite a mess
But with both men fighting over Vickie, Cena managed the win
But then Del Rio quickly came down and ran in
But Cena was lively and what can you say?
He came out on top and hit Del Rio with an AA.

Keep an eye out for more recaps, coming soon.

CM And Weep

Another week, another RAW and my apologies for this recap coming out so late but, like an underage teen’s period after she’s had sex, it’s better late than never.

The show began with HHH
Who wanted to reveal the show he’s decided to create
See, he wants the company to be the best that it can be
And involve everyone superstar in the WWE
So from now on the roster split is lifted
That’s right, I didn’t get my words twisted
Smackdown guys will now be on RAW
Which I guess means we’ll see Randy Orton more
After that our COO wasn’t finished
He was unhappy how Nash lied and he wanted him punished
He invited him to the ring to see where he got such spunk
But instead out came CM Punk
Punk said Trips was simple acting
He even said his thespianism was outstanding
Then Nash came out in an ugly shirt
But who cared because he dished the dirt
Johnny Ace the Talent VP
Signed up Nash to come back on TV
He questioned Trips on what man he was
To which Punk decided to fake throwing up
He said the entire thing was all an act
Then Nash said he wanted a match
Trips agreed to let us all see
Punk v Nash at the next PPV

After that Randy Orton came out for a match with Dolph Ziggler. The match was actually really good and I’m loving the storyline involving Vickie Guerrero. I think that it has real legs and if they can put good matches into it at the same time, that’s great. Dolph is underrated and I say that as a fan of not just his awesome arse but also his actual talent. Orton, however, picked up the win.

Backstage we saw an angry John Cena
Who was ready to drop some truth in the arena
He ignored Josh Matthews and headed to the ring
He wasn’t happy with the pain Del Rio decided to bring
He said Del Rio was a complete douchebag and cheat
Then impersonated The Rock and stamped his feet
He wanted Del Rio to come get some now
But out came Mark Henry and his sweaty brow
Henry said Cena will join his pain
And that he’ll soon have a title reign
With those words came a familiar face
It was Christian, Smackdown’s biggest disgrace
He accused John Cena of being a whiner
To which Cena retorted with a great one-liner
He then challenged the two to go head to head
But Christian decided to bail instead
The reason why was because Sheamus appeared
I actually don’t find this partnership to weird
Mark Henry then decided to step away
Then John Laurinaitis had something to say
Backstage in his office he made the bought
To which Trips stepped in and totally freaked out
He told Johnny Ace to know his role
That HE was the boss and to hit the road
The match was official and we’d get to see
Cena & Sheamus v Christian & Henry LIVE on TV!

After that we got a FANTASTIC match between Punk and Miz. Before the match even began, Miz came out and basically told Punk he was about as original as Emo Kids. He said he’s been speaking the truth long before Punk and well, he out-Punked Punk! Miz then demanded attention and he sure got it with a brilliant match against Punk. I know I already said that but, seriously, it was totally AWWWESSSSOOOOMMMMEEEE.

The match looked like it was going Punk’s way until the very end when R Truth (he’s not a GOOD R TROOF) ran in and went for Punk causing Punk to win due to DQ. Punk, however, gained the upperhand and actually over powered The Awesome Truth (the Internet names teams now, right?). Then Nash decided to take a casual stroll down the ramp (I mean seriously, how slow?) and Miz knocked down Punk which allowed Nash to (eventually) take down Punk with a Jackknife Powerbomb!

After that we had Sin Cara v Jack Swagger. Again it was good and it really set up the new Vickie/Swagger/Ziggler feud that’s going on. I really liked it even if Sin Cara picked up yet another win.

Not much to rap/write poetry about tonight but this was a REALLY good RAW. I enjoyed it. It had great set-ups, great matches. Do watch it if you haven’t.

The next match was Otunga & McGillicutty v the new tag champions Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston now known as AirBoom! The match was so-so and King buried Otunga & McGillicutty on commentary the entire time basically saying they were shite. They lost the match to AirBoom who retained their titles. Afterwards, the artists formerly known as New Nexus stared down Lawler and Otunga ripped his headphones off and threw them at him. YEAH, YOU GO. Also, Otunga and McGillicutty entered in baseball caps and sunglasses. This must not ever happen again. OK?

We then had a Divas match in Kelly Kelly v Brie Bella. The match was interrupted by another people-looking-at-TV segment where Beth Phoenix and Natalya (aka Divas of Doom) basically said everyone in the ring were twats and they should be wrestling. The Bellas then did twin magic for the win.

The Main Event was soon upon us as Christian teamed with Sexual-turned-Crazy Chocolate Mark Henry against John Cena and the wonderful babyface Sheamus. Loving Sheamus as a fan favourite The match was actually not bad and Cena picked up the win for his team.

During Cena’s celebration we cut away
To Triple H backstage with something to say
He invited CM Punk to come and see him
Because he had something Punk needed to be hearin’
He said Punk’s match with Nash was no longer on
But he shouldn’t be sad because he had another one
HHH stared at Punk and said his Night Of Champions opponent would be
HIM! The COO of the WWE
And with that RAW went off the air
Did I enjoy it? OH HELL YEAH!

Until next week,

Nash To See You, To See You Nash

So my RAW recap skips ahead a week after Summerslam with many questions still unanswered. Who sent the text to Nash to stick the winner? Who will face Del Rio at Night Of Champions? And why won’t Steph answer my calls?

The show kicked off with Del Rio who came to no doubt give a smug promo about how brilliant he is but he was soon stopped in his tracks by John Cena who said that Del Rio now had a huge target on his back and that, well, he was going to be the one taking aim. Cena said he was sick of making average look awesome and that Punk is the only one he wants to wrestle. Aww, it’s kinda sweet, right? Anyways, Punk then comes out and says that he doesn’t have an issue with Del Rio, he just doesn’t like the conspiracy of how Del Rio cashed in. He then said he’s like to cash in his rematch clause. Cena, however, interrupts and says he’s getting HIS rematch clause. It was then left to HHH who came out and reminded these guys that a rematch clause isn’t like a Money In The Bank Contract and you can’t just cash it in. He then says Punk will go head to head with Cena to determine the No1 Contendership.

The first match was Del Rio v JoMo
And this abs-covered jobber arrived in slo-mo
The match was actually not that bad
It’s the first time I’ve wanted to raise JoMo’s hand
But Del Rio fought on is this epic bought
We had near falls and a potential knock out
But when it came to the crunch there was just one winner
And that man was the guy that’s holding the Spinner
Del Rio gained the win and attack JoMo after
Seems like JoMo has no happy ever after
Del Rio slumped off with a smile on his face
Whilst JoMo limped away, his career a disgrace.

We then had a Divas match where they had a TNA-Style Vox Pop of Natalya and Beth Phoenix basically saying that Eve and Kelly are wrong about what they want but they’re not going to tell them anyway. Um, OK? Anyway, Eve was facing Nikki Bella and Eve won. The Divas Of Destruction then took to the ramp and sarcastically applauded both Eve and Kelly. Ooo, a sarcastic applause. Scary.

Backstage, Kevin Nash arrived.

The next match was A-Ry v Jack Swagger
Who had a friend in the form of a cougar
Vickie Guerrero was giving a trial run
To see if she’d be his new companion
Swagger had told Vickie to extend her client base
But the whole situation left Dolph with egg on his face
He came to the ring to make Vickie come back
But he accidentally sent her to the floor with a whack
A distracted Swagger was defeated by Riley
Dolph and Vickie bailed and Swagger wasn’t so smiley
But who will Vickie choose we can only guess
But either way, Swagger is not impressed.

Next we had Kevin Nash come talk to HHH. HHH told Nash that he couldn’t allow him to attack Punk as he isn’t a WWE Superstar. Nash said that he was simply being a man and wouldn’t allow Punk to run his mouth. Punk then made an appearance saying that he wanted to get to the bottom of the text saga saying he thinks it was Steph (after a long-winded game of Cluedo). He then said that he was sick of talking and went to attack Nash, but HHH intervened. An irate Punk then asked HHH why he was so against him being champion. He then called Steph “bean-headed” which lead to HHH to warn Punk he was still the same Cerebral Assassin. Punk then continued saying that HHH’s balls were in Steph’s handbag (watch it, it’ll make sense) to which Nash punched Punk and then he and HHH ran off.

Backstage, HHH asked Nash to leave as he can’t allow Nash to get physical to which Nash says HHH has changed.

The Tag Team division is hotting up as Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne beat New Nexus for the Tag Titles.

We then head backstage again where an out of breath John Laurinaitis told HHH that Nash has been in a car accident and was in hospital. Cue a billion tweets about Matt Hardy wearing a Nash mask. OK, they were funny. Matt Hardy is a ridiculous human being.

Santino Morella then took to the stage
But he was taken down by Miz and Truth who were in a rage
They went to the ring to explain themselves
They said that the conspiracy that surrounds them can go to hell
They’re both convinced that they’re not being used correctly
Truth believe it’s all due to a C-O-N-Spiracy
Miz looked confused to still tagged along
As he said the way he’s booked is basically wrong
He wants more matches and title shots
And Truth said that soon everyone gon get get
They then said they’d take any opportunity that comes up
Then made up a rap and told the fans that they suck.

The final match of the night was Punk/Cena and Alberto Del Rio was at ringside. But next to him was John Laurinaitis who I am sure was just there to ensure nothing went awry? Right? WRONG! As Punk looked set to hit the GTS for the win, Nash appeared to create a distraction. Cena hit the AA for the win and the Del Rio beat up Cena.

The entire night ended in chaos but why did John Laurinaitis lie? Or did he?

Cen-in’ Double

Hey gang, another stellar week for the blog so thank you all very much for that. It’s nice that people are coming to the site regularly. I know you come from the pictures but I sure hope you give these recaps a read.

So, I’ve still had nobody tell me the rap/poetry (rapoetry) sucks so shall continue along that path.

The show opened with, unpredictably, CM Punk who wanted to let everyone know why he decided to resign. Many people were confused as to why he bothered and well, the cynic in me says it’s probably to do with money. Anycash, Punk says the reason he stayed is that he is the voice of the voiceless and if he wasn’t around, he couldn’t instigate change. He said that change is in the air and he did it for the fans. It seems doing it for the fans is a popular reason for doing things and I think I’ll start doing that. So next time I’m caught masturbating on a bus to RAW or Smackdown I’ll tell the judge it’s for my fans. That should work? Right?

Then things go juicy.

HHH made his way to the ring
He wanted to tell Punk his reasoning
He said he hired Punk because for business it’s good
He said he’d set aside his own bad blood
When pressed on his opinion of him, HHH was blunt
He thinks Punk is smug and overrated and, well, basically  a cunt
Punk just laughed and said it couldn’t be clearer
That for HHH is was probably like looking in a mirror
HHH agreed but Punk wasn’t done
He said HHH was a bully and pushed around everyone
Then he decided to really twist the knife
By inferring HHH went bitching to his wife
HHH got mad at Punk being crassed
And made some crazy comment about a skinny fat ass
Punk continued to wind him up
HHH said he’d love nothing more than to swing a punch
But he said he felt that the rules were there for a reason
Punk said that he needed permission to beat him
And with that the confrontation was done
But when it comes to HHH has Punk really won?

Next up was the Divas Battle Royal which was surprisingly long and even went into a commercial break. It was, unsurprisingly a clusterfuck with Kelly Kelly on commentary just making it worse although I am sure it was nice for Kelly to have words dripping out of her mouth rather than the usual. The winner of the Battle Royal was Beth Pheonix and, to my glee, she beat Kelly Kelly down after she won.

We then headed backstage with The Miz & R Truth
Miz was upset and he hit the roof
He said R Truth was crazy and he didn’t want to play his game
But Truth suggested they were actually the same
Miz got mad as he thinks Truth his mental
But Truth continued to be kind and gentle
He asked the Miz that if Punk’s return was planned
What was the point of the Tournament, man
Miz pondered and Truth disappeared
Even I must admit maybe Truth’s conspiracy ain’t so weird.

We then went to an Interview with John Cena who said that he was going to make sure he was around to hear what HHH had to say as HHH had a huge decision. He said he felt he is the champion but he will hear HHH out.

The next match up was tag team action
And for a bad guy Miz got a great reaction
Morrison & Mysterio were Miz & Truth’s opponents
Truth continued talking to himself like he’s missing a component
The match itself was your simple fair
With added abs and wavy hair
Morrison’s return looked set to gain him the win
But it was Truth that managed to gain the pin
The 1, 2, 3 wasn’t enough for Miz
He wanted to show everyone he’s the baddest man in the biz
A Skull Crushing finale seemed to seal his fate
Then he and Truth had a bromantic embrace.

We then went backstage to Triple H who said that he isn’t phased by what Punk said because people have been saying it for years. It does often annoy me that HHH gets stick about his relationship to Steph but I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite considering how often I ride Kelly Kelly. But, in all fairness, if I wasn’t riding Kelly Kelly… another WWE superstar would have to. ZING!

Then out game Dolph along with my new hero
The sexy cougar that is Mrs Vickie Guerrero
She took to the mic to hype up her little floozy
But the crowd were rude so she just yelled EXCUSE ME
One the fans had settled their boos
Vickie Guerrero got chance to air her biased views
She said Dolph was the best man in the WWE
But there was one man backstage who didn’t quite agree
A-Ry challenged Dolph to a match without Vickie
But they exited the ring rather quickly
It seems like Vickie’s power is beginning to slide
But will Dolph stick by her or kick her to the side?

Next was Otunga & McGilililiililililicunty vs Santino and internet darling Zack Ryder. The match was what you’d expect and no explanation of what happens to New Nexus was offered. Instead, it was a quick match up where Otunga and McCunty won.

Backstage, Josh Matthews continued his interview whore tour by chatting to CM Punk who basically said he was the real champ. Yadda, yadda, filler.

Speaking of filler, Evan Bourne went up against Del Rio and lost. Yawn.

The main event wasn’t actually a match
It was for HHH to decide in which ring he’d throw his hat
After weighing up all the pros and cons
He decided where the title truly belongs
But before he could announce what he wanted to say
John Laurinaitis came out and he wanted to play
He said he’s been in Corporate for 20 years now
And he knows what Vince would want to do with his cash cow
With Johnny Ace interfering, Cena decided to make an appearance
He said to Laurinaitis that he was a snake
That he was still mad at Cena for the punch in the face
He begged HHH to do the right thing
And Laurinaitis soon left the ring
HHH told Cena that he wouldn’t be stripped
That’s when Punk’s music soon let ripped
Punk accused HHH of returning to the Status Quo
HHH told him that he doesn’t think so
He said the real champion would be decided in the best way they can
In a one-on-one match at Summerslam
The stage has been set and I really can’t wait
To find out the WWE Title’s one true fate.
